EASI Library
Research and institutional memory for the work ahead.
EASI is the institutional home for learning, history, research, and practice development. This library brings together public field reports, historical EASI materials, and the resources that inform current training and program design.
Field research
Start with what the field is learning.
These external sources are useful for understanding elder-abuse response, service gaps, collaboration, restorative approaches, housing, training, and system capacity. Links open the original public source whenever possible.
Foundational reading
Elder justice is bigger than responding after harm.
EASI’s institutional library includes work that helps connect elder abuse prevention with ageism, autonomy, human rights, community connection, public health, and access to justice.
Vision 21: Transforming Victim Services
Office for Victims of Crime · 2013
Still useful as a foundational field framework on continuous strategic planning, research, technology, training, collaboration, and organizational capacity — now paired here with newer victim-services and elder-justice resources.
Elder Justice, Ageism, and Elder Abuse
Lisa Nerenberg, MSW, MPH · Springer Publishing · 2019
A foundational elder-justice text connecting ageism, human rights, public health, policy, access to justice, and elder-abuse prevention.
EASI institutional archive
Preserve what came before without confusing it with today.
EASI’s historical website contains important records of the institution’s shelter vision, board structure, training, events, community education, photographs, and recognition. The first records are now preserved inside this site while original files, photographs, captions, and source materials are migrated into EASI’s permanent archive. Some historical details, contacts, plans, and roles are dated.
Who We Are · historical EASI site
Founding rationale, STAR history, training expectations, and the original shelter/service concept.
EASI Bylaws · 2022 public copy
Historical public copy of EASI’s governing bylaws. Current governance documents should be confirmed by the board before relying on this copy.
EASI Corporate Business Plan · historical
Prior shelter, advocacy, case-management, restorative-justice, education, staffing, and evaluation concepts. Historical planning — not a current operating commitment.
EASI community events · historical site
A sample of prior public education, awareness, volunteer, and fundraising activity.
Practice into training
Research should become something people can use.
EASI is translating field knowledge into presentations, facility training, family education, volunteer preparation, and elder-justice practice modules.
