Practice with CJC

Bring the practice you already carry.

Bring your experience in mediation, restorative work, teaching, mentoring, outreach, or community leadership. Explore where your skills and relationships could contribute to CJC’s work.

Areas to explore

Where your practice could contribute.

These are possible areas of work, not open assignments or vacancies. A role depends on current needs and appropriate preparation.

Mediation & conflict practice

Help people prepare for difficult conversations, understand disputes, and explore possible next steps.

Restorative processes

Contribute to circles, conferencing, and supported work around accountability and repair.

Schools & youth

Support restorative learning and relationship-building with young people, families, and schools.

Outreach & community practice

Bring experience in violence prevention, Community Listening, accompaniment, and community engagement.

Learning & mentorship

Support training, reflection, shared learning, and mentoring as part of CJC's work.

Your experience matters.

Professional training, lived experience, community wisdom, and trusted relationships can all be starting points. You do not have to fit one professional title.

  • Mediation & facilitation
  • Outreach & violence prevention
  • Youth work & mentoring
  • Education, counseling & social work
  • Neighborhood, faith & community leadership
  • Lived & community experience

Experience helps shape the conversation; it does not replace preparation, supervision, or authorization for a specific role.

What happens next

Find a fit, then prepare together.

1

Share interest

Tell CJC what you bring and which kinds of work interest you.

2

CJC reviews

CJC considers your experience alongside current projects and needs.

3

Talk about fit

Discuss a possible role, its boundaries, and the preparation it would require.

4

Prepare together

If you both choose to proceed, begin readiness for that specific work.

Preparation is specific to the work.

Depending on the role, preparation may include confidentiality and safety agreements, training, observation, supervision, and assignment-specific learning.

Readiness, a project relationship, and an assignment are separate steps. Access is limited to what an authorized assignment needs; sharing interest alone grants no account, role, or case access.

Share interest

Tell CJC what you bring.

This is an expression of interest, not an application or a credentialing form. Just your name and email to start; everything else is optional.

Add more about your practice (optional). Share only if you want to.

CJC will review your interest and follow up if there may be a useful fit.

Keep learning. Stay connected.
