Community history

EASI Community Events — Historical Record

Selected events published on the former EASI site

This archival brief preserves examples of EASI’s prior community education, awareness, training, volunteer, and fundraising activity.

Elder Abuse Awareness training

The historical site states that EASI hosted a 20-hour Elder Abuse Awareness training program each school semester for students and community members, using presentations and guest speakers and awarding certificates to participants.

Community outreach

Published examples include EASI participation in a 2022 West Fresno Family Resource Center Earth Day event and Multicultural Celebration, where interns shared elder-abuse information and EASI resources.

World Elder Abuse Awareness

The site records EASI participation in a June 2019 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day event at Tornino’s Banquets with an informational table focused on elder-abuse awareness.

Fundraising and community presence

Historical activities also include 2019 fundraising events at Windham Senior Community, an open executive board meeting in Clovis, and a later public petition campaign supporting sheltering options for elder-abuse victims.

Archive note

Photographs, flyers, captions, participant names, sponsorship material, and event documents should be preserved from the retiring site where EASI has the right to retain them. Republishing identifiable images should be reviewed for consent and context.
