EASI Bylaws — 2022 Historical Public Copy

Dated May 10, 2022

This page preserves a summary of the bylaws EASI publicly posted in 2022. It is not a substitute for the corporation’s current governing bylaws. The board should maintain the authoritative signed/current copy in EASI’s records.

Mission and purposes

The 2022 public bylaws describe EASI as a California Public Benefit Corporation focused on emergency shelter, victim advocacy, coordinated case management, referrals, education and training, culturally appropriate outreach, and services for elder-abuse victims at risk of homelessness.

Board structure

The public copy authorizes a Board of Directors and describes officer roles, director duties, vacancies, compensation restrictions, and conflict-of-interest safeguards. It also states that board members complete EASI training within their first year.

Records and stewardship

The secretary is charged with maintaining bylaws, minutes, notices, membership records, and corporate records. The treasurer is charged with custody of funds, accurate accounts, financial reporting, and board access to financial records.

Historical status

Because organizational structure, addresses, officers, and policies can change, this 2022 copy should be treated as an archival governance record until the board confirms the current bylaws and amendments.
