Elder Justice Fresno · Community Investment
What it would take to build Elder Justice Fresno.
EASI is building Elder Justice Fresno one pathway at a time: building the capacity to do the work, identifying the resources older adults may need, and developing safer community pathways, each shown with where it honestly stands today.

How an offer will become a contribution
When the inquiry process opens, every offer of goods, services, or property will follow these steps. Offers are inquiries, not accepted donations, until EASI confirms them.
Step 1: Offer
You share what you might offer. Never include details about a specific older adult.
Step 2: Review
An authorized EASI steward checks scope, suitability, credentials or licensing, insurance, limits, and expiry.
Step 3: Confirm
A reviewed contribution is confirmed separately from whether it is operationally ready. A pledge is not capacity.
Step 4: Match privately
Authorized staff match confirmed resources to approved needs outside this public page. No case details appear here.
Step 5: Fulfilled
Only an actual, evidenced delivery counts as fulfilled. EASI publishes totals after review.

Elder justice work deserves sustainable wages
For years, this work has depended on volunteers and underfunded professionals carrying significant responsibility. The first goal is modest: fund a part-time coordinator at approximately 20 hours per week to coordinate the development of Elder Justice Fresno.

Open balance is the target minus confirmed commitments. Fulfilled units are part of confirmed units and are never counted twice. Withdrawn or expired offers are removed rather than shown as available. The register never shows the names of older adults, safe-placement addresses, clinical information, donor details, or a provider's identity without permission.
Future vision · Not costed · Not operating
A safe place of our own
For years, Elder Abuse Services Inc. has envisioned a safe residence where older adults who face abuse or unsafe living conditions could find temporary shelter, stability, and a path forward. EASI is working to develop a network of existing housing and care providers while also exploring the possibility of a residence dedicated to this purpose.
A residence is a future goal, not an operating shelter or current placement option. No property or acquisition budget has been approved. Any property or service would require review of suitability, permissible use, licensing, zoning, accessibility, insurance, staffing, safeguarding, cost, and long-term sustainability before EASI accepts it or opens a service.
Thinking about a property, lease, or capital gift? A formal process for these conversations is being prepared. EASI cannot accept every property or gift, and sharing an idea will be the start of a conversation, not a commitment.
What could help
- A suitable home or property
- A capital gift
- A below-market lease
- Accessibility upgrades
- Furnishings
- Sustained operating support
What must come first
- Feasibility and operating study
- Board-approved capital plan
- Licensing, zoning and permissible-use review
- Insurance, staffing and safeguarding plan
- Accessibility and suitability review
- A sustainable operating budget
Different from the bed nights in the 2027 register: those would come through qualified existing providers. No purchase price, timeline, or staffing plan has been set for a residence.
Accountability
The goal is to make the invisible work visible.
As the work develops, EASI intends to make progress understandable through verified information, so the community can see what was proposed, what was committed, and what actually happened.
What EASI intends to report
- Needs identified
- Partners and organizations engaged
- Development progress
- Resources committed
- Contributions fulfilled
- Services or pathways genuinely activated
Nothing is reported here yet. Reporting will begin only when there is verified information to share.
